Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "If a she-camel that is being driven as a sacrificial animal gives birth, the offspring should be carried along as well and they are sacrificed together with her, and if there is no place where they can be carried, they should be carried on the mother until they are all sacrificed." UHISOC built up of brothers and sisters who are kind enough to volunteer & divide their time, more often than not, in the favour of the islamic society. The head brother and sister spent MANY long hours dedicating their time to ensure that Charity Week was a success, im sure you will agree that they did a top job! However, they do still need more volunteers, there can never be too many!

We need more people volunteering to help aid the smooth running of the isoc. Most of the volunteers are third year students and when they leave, it is you, the first/second years that will take over. I am not saying that the minute you volunteer you will be asked to take over the website or media aspect of the isoc, we will only ask you to do things you are comfortable with and have put yourselves forward for.

I cannot begin to stress the importance of helping your muslim brothers/sisters in trying to strengthen the islamic community and spreading knowledge.
